I can walk away knowing, she knew how I truly felt
It was a long shot from the start
Had to protect what was left of my heart
So I chose to leave before things went south
It's my way to avoid emotional pain
The strain on my mind, took it's final toll
I heard all of what I've needed to hear
It's about that time I take my stroll
Try to move on to a better place
Where I can ease my soul
If you can't find love in the person you cherish
