Things were great at one point
Then our situation turned tragic
Went from good to worse so quickly
Thought what we had was above average
Like the magic, dream marriages were made of
The happily-ever-after type ending
The very idea romantics ate up
It goes to show you
Good things don't last long
But why are we so surprised?
We knew it all along
