Nothing more than a memory
Nothing more than a dream
Thought everything was perfect,
nothing's ever what it seems
Nothing more than a lie
Nothing more than just a fight
But why are we still angry,
when we've already made things right?
Nothing more than an empty promise
Nothing more than a mistake
We were just two people,
who didn't have what it takes
Nothing more than a hello
Nothing more than a good-bye
Those were our last words spoken,
though neither one of us knew why...

Back to the beginning
Thought we'd give it another shot
Didn't want to throw it all way
Rather just hold onto what we've got
Regardless, if we were unhappy
We learned to live with all the doubts
It was better than the thought of loneliness
That we knew we couldn't surmount
Played pretend, knowing the end
Was just around the corner
When you've been together for so long
Who really wants to be a loner?
At least we've got each other
That's more than some people have
But is it happiness or just memories,
we continue to grasp?
Guess, we'll soon find out
If we're truly meant to be
Lies can only last for so long
Until the truth sets us free...

Death speaks of comforting things
Is what most people will never understand
A poisonous seduction of the mind
The art of dying by your own hand
Nothing else matters in the world
When suicide becomes your only chance
To escape life's harsh realities
You choose to throw it all away
And die by your own plan...
